About
Street Art Utopia is an independent art publication created and edited by Vidar Egnér in Stockholm, Sweden. Since 2010, it has documented street art, murals, public art and creative interventions from around the world.
Today, more than 1.7 million people follow Street Art Utopia on Facebook. The purpose is still simple: to help remarkable art in public space reach people who might never see it in person—and to preserve the names, places and stories attached to it.
What we publish
Street Art Utopia publishes visual stories about art found on walls, streets, buildings, beaches and other shared spaces. Some stories focus on one artist or artwork. Others bring together works connected by an idea, place, material or feeling.
The site covers street art, murals, public sculpture, land art and other forms of creativity that change how a place looks or feels.
How we work
Every story is selected and reviewed by Vidar. Whenever possible, we identify the artist, title, location, date and photographer, and link to the artist or a reliable original or local source.
Street art is temporary, and photographs often travel far from their original source. Some details can therefore be difficult to verify. When better information becomes available, we update the story and correct the record.
Credits, corrections and image removal
We want artists and photographers to remain connected to their work. If you created or photographed something shown on Street Art Utopia, please contact us if a credit is missing or incorrect, if you have a better source, or if you would like an image removed.
